My name is Nathalie Ruejas Jonson and I'm a freelancing illustrator, graphic designer and visual artist.
I'm available for commissions and cooperative work. I'm based in Stockholm, Sweden.
My practice is based on finding methods in my illustrations to start conversations about disabilty, race, betweenship and class. I want those conversations to be held in accessible formats. I mainly use storytelling as a tool for communicating in a society dominated by neurotypical norms. By experimenting with image, perspective and language, my stories focuses mainly on life as an autistic person. I explore how the image can be used as a primary means of communication for those who feel limited in their verbal skills and to discuss cognitive function and perception that does not follow the norm.
